I've been teaching in Tokyo for a year now and want to change jobs. I'd rather not teach English anymore and am wondering what options there are. My Japanese level is only intermediate I'd say.

Any pointers or suggestions?

I am also at the point of not wanting to teach anymore. As for other jobs . . . well, it probably does depend highly on your Japanese ability, or other qualifications, but try gaijinpot.com. They have job listings other than teaching.

Yes I have looked at newspapers, magazines and online, but there's not much that I can see other than teaching (personally). Was just curious. Oh! I've seen proofreading jobs advertised occasionally, but I suppose there is a lot of competition for them, and that possibly the jobs get passed onto a friend/contact kind of thing...
